After Éomer gives Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli two horses, he turns to mount his own steed. As he swings his leg over the saddle, his sword completely slips out of its sheath and drops, dangling uselessly. The actor tries to subtly catch it, but the scene was kept in the final cut. It's a hilarious, unscripted blunder in the middle of a very serious, dramatic encounter.
