The epic cavalry charge at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields features thousands of extras and horses rushing toward the Orc army. If you look closely at the riders in the foreground during the final wide shot, one extra completely loses his grip and drops his long spear. Instead of stopping to pick it up or breaking character, he just continues to ride furiously toward the enemy with his hands completely empty. It is a hilarious, unscripted blunder hidden in one of cinema's most intense battle sequences.
