The recurring imagery of a mounted bull's head constantly foreshadows the tragic downfall of Duke Leto Atreides.

Film/Series: Dune

Throughout the film, the large mounted head of a Salusan bull is prominently displayed and transported to the various Atreides strongholds. This is the exact beast that killed Duke Leto's father in a grand bullfight years ago. Director Denis Villeneuve deliberately frames this ominous prop in the background of Leto's scenes to subliminally signal that the noble Duke is also heading headfirst into a fatal, inescapable trap.
